I should have responded yesterday with the shocker

I should have responded yesterday with the shocker for the day, but here goes. The shocker of the day was the Paula Deen story. The shock had nothing to do with the facts or Paula’s response or even news reports or other responses. The shock is that in reality as a black southern male of the approximate age of Paula (a little older) I was shocked that I did not know how I feel about the situation. I have an aversion to what she said, I am not surprised that she those things, I am shocked that she said those things in a deposition. But what?

Food Network dropped her like a hot potato. To appease whom? Certainly not to appease the majority of black Americans who could care less. Probably to appease the talking heads I mean social commentators excuse me  and newsmen. Why? This is a teaser I must confess.

I just hope that Paula isn’t driven to become angry at blacks by the persecution of the social commentators. I don’t know her I don’t know what’s in her heart.

I could go on and on as I muse this happening, for that I am shocked!
