Just sitting here pondering. The immigration debate seems to me that it’s not as reported. The arguments as reported seems to be about our southern. The debate however seems to be much more complicated. For people such as New York mayor Michael Bloomberg it seems to be about making it easier for skilled workers to get easier access to our shores. What I hear is them say that if you are educated and or highly skilled you are welcome. The debate geared toward the masses seems to be about the status of our southern neighbors presumably who come here to do the jobs American citizens don’t want. To them the message seems to be you are here, you are law abiding, I guess you can be legal its only fair.
As a Texan I am pro immigrant as our neighbors from our southern border contribute greatly to our culture. My concern is that the Bloomberg part of the immigration debate be fleshed out openly in public.Employers will certainly be at the drafting table of any immigrant legislation, the rest of us should at least be fully informed as to what the politicians are really talking about.
